Central League

Napier City Rovers and Wellington Phoenix Reserves played out an exciting 1–1 draw at Bluewater Stadium.

NCR started strong, taking the lead early through Sam Lack’s well-timed goal in the 11th minute. The lead was short-lived, however, as Wellington Phoenix Reserves hit back quickly with Daniel Makowem leveling the score just three minutes later.

The match remained open and competitive, with both sides creating chances and pushing for a winner. Despite some close calls, neither team could break the deadlock, resulting in a hard-fought draw that left both teams sharing the spoils.

Central League 2

The visitors opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Ryan Kelly found the net. Palmerston North United briefly fought back and equalised in the 21st minute through Benjamin Mori. However Stop Out quickly regained control through a penalty converted by James Cunniff in the 28th minute restored their lead, followed by a strike from Tyson Dellow in the 34th. Kelly struck again in the 37th minute as Stop Out’s forwards made the most of their chances. Cunniff added his second from the spot in the 41st minute extending the lead to 5–1 at the break. The second half saw a much-improved showing from Palmerston North United, who pushed forward with greater urgency and purpose. They looked to claw their way back into the match and had the ball in the net three times only to see all three goals disallowed for various infringements in the build-up.

Wellington United Diamonds controlled the match against Kitchens By Healey Palmerston North United from the outset and showed their attacking depth and composure throughout the 90 minutes. The tone was set early when Natalie Olson opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a well-taken finish, her first of three on the day. The Diamonds continued to apply pressure, and it paid off again in the 28th minute when Hannah Pilley doubled the lead with a composed effort from inside the box. Olson added her second just ten minutes later before Farina Anchico extended the lead to 4–0 on the stroke of halftime, giving Wellington United a commanding advantage at the break. The second half continued in the same vein, with Palmerston North struggling to gain any foothold in the game. Two unfortunate own goals in the 52nd and 70th minutes compounded the home side's difficulties. In between, Zoe Barrott found the net in the 57th minute, making it seven for the visitors. Olson rounded off the scoring andher hat-trick in the 80th minute. Palmerston North United battled hard but were outmatched across the pitch. Their defensive line was tested constantly, and despite some resolute moments, they were unable to contain Wellington’s movement and attacking intent.

Hawke's Bay Championship Round 13

In a closely contested match, Liquid Gold Maycenvale Strollers edged out Taradale AFC Reserves 3–2.

The visitors took an early lead through Risqi Triyanto in the 22nd minute, followed by a second goal from David Howard just before halftime. Dorian Kastrinos extended the lead to 3–0 in the 60th minute.

Taradale responded well in the second half, with Zack Badger scoring shortly after the break and Marley Hekenui adding a second goal in the 73rd minute. Despite their efforts to close the gap, Taradale were unable to find an equaliser as Maycenvale held on for the win.

Hawke's Bay Division 2 Round 11

Westshore Beach Inn Eskview United delivered a commanding 6–1 victory over Shed2 Marist.

Daniel Baxter was the standout performer, scoring a hat-trick with goals in the 17th, 42nd, and 57th minutes. Jonty Underhill and Johannes Busser also contributed to the scoring early in the match, with goals in the 18th and 24th minutes respectively. Emil Fiebig added a sixth goal in the 67th minute to put the result beyond doubt.

Shed2 Marist managed a consolation goal through Jett Hogg in the 32nd minute but were largely unable to contain Eskview’s attacking threat throughout the match.

Westshore Beach Inn Eskview Reds secured a narrow 3–2 victory over 313 Construction Marist in a closely contested match.

Marist took an early lead with goals from Jeremy Norman in the 26th minute and Cullum Jones in the 33rd minute, giving them a strong position heading into halftime. However, Eskview Reds responded well in the second half, with Justin Kite scoring shortly after the break to reduce the deficit.

Simon Harper then equalised in the 69th minute, and Tadhg Doherty put Eskview ahead in the 84th minute. Despite efforts from Marist to find a late equaliser, Eskview held on to claim the win.

Obrien's Plumbing HNW Mercenaries secured a 4–1 win over Westshore Beach Inn Eskview Masters in a match that saw the visitors take control early and maintain their advantage throughout.

Friso Kolff opened the scoring for the Mercenaries in the 10th minute, setting the tone for the match. Westshore Beach Inn Eskview Masters responded with a goal from Andrew Chantrey just before halftime in the 39th minute to level the score temporarily.

Mark Boys Builders Eskview Blues claimed a strong 4–1 win over HNW Divas in a match largely controlled in the first half.

Eskview Blues started fast, with Jane Barnett opening the scoring in the 3rd minute, followed by a second from Briar Cloake just four minutes later. Barnett added two more before halftime, completing a first-half hat-trick with goals in the 36th and 42nd minutes to give the visitors a commanding lead.

HNW Divas pulled one back through Adidas Kepa in the 29th minute, but struggled to gain momentum against a well-organised Eskview side.

Quality Pumping Port Hill United and HNW Loading Ramp played out a 1–1 draw in a tightly contested fixture.

HNW Loading Ramp took the lead in the 20th minute through Jessica Kernan, finishing off a strong attacking move to put the visitors in front early. The match remained competitive, with both sides battling for control in midfield and creating chances at either end.

Port Hill United eventually found an equaliser late in the game, when a deflection off Leah Crawford resulted in an own goal in the 81st minute.

Both teams showed determination throughout, and the points were shared in what was an even and hard-fought encounter.
