SAFEGUARDING

Safeguarding

New Zealand Football (NZF) and Central Football are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable football environment for all.

We recognise our responsibility to lead and encourage safe practices to ensure the welfare and best interests of children and vulnerable adults.

To support the football system in this commitment we’ve developed the Guidelines for Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults and the supporting NZF Police Vetting System.

Safeguarding In Football

The safety and wellbeing of everyone in our football community is our top priority. We are committed to creating environments where tamariki, rangatahi, and adults feel respected, supported, and safe on and off the pitch. New Zealand Football’s safeguarding approach ensures clear policy, training, and support are in place to protect those involved in the game at every level.
