Lotto Men’s Federation League
Match of the Round
Landmark Homes HNW vs Shani’s Taradale AFC
Taradale have done it two weeks on the bounce, picking up massive points away from home in a 1-4 against Havelock. The points see them go ahead of Havelock (by two points) in the table and are now one point behind third place FC Western. These three sides have it all to play for in the last game of the season as all three are vying for third place and automatic promotion to Central League 2 for 2025. The two that miss will have to await their fate in the upcoming CL2 play-offs on 14th September. Add to this that the two Palmy sides (United and Marist) are locked on points and will battle it out for the title in the last round and it’s going to be some finish to the 2024 Federation League.

Lotto Women’s Federation Cup
Semi- Final
In the Federation Cup it was Manawatu Premiership side Takaro X-Force facing off vs Federation League side – New Plymouth Rangers. The winner would go on to face Eskview Blues from Hawke’s Bay who had won their semi 3-1 vs Port Hill United the week earlier. Two goals from Takaro in the first half were enough to get them over the line as the second half remained scoreless, with the home side taking it 2-0. It will be a tough final as both finalists have had a good campaign. Eskview will be looking to go one better after ending as runner up in 2023.
