It was a big local derby in Hawke’s Bay with Havelock looking to extend their lead at the top of the ladder with the home side Taradale looking to close the gap. Plenty of action with two own goals including Havelock’s Ryan Miller scoring for each team within the space of six minutes. Havelock is the end had too much, with the away side taking it 1-4.

League Leaders Palmy United were again too good in their latest match vs Whanganui Athletic. Whanganui put in another solid effort, however United’s ability to put the ball in the net was again the difference, up by three within an hour. Whanganui grabbed a consolation goal in the 81st minute but the score finished 3-1 to United.

Premier Heating NPBHS travelled to Onuku Taipari Domain to take on the high flying TMT Building Ltd Moturoa with the opportunity to be the first team to take points off the league leaders. In a close first half the home team took a 1 nil lead into the break thanks to a goal From Cameron Matheson. Moturoa proved too strong in the second half with another goal to Matheson and one to Leo Coutts to secure the 3 points.

The match between Smart Rehab & Physio Peringa United Ballers and Charrua Kaponga SC was a scrappy affair with the home team getting off to the perfect start with a goal to Kieran Cummings in the opening minute of the match. Kaponga fought back with goals to Alejandro Eschmann and Lautaro Alvarez saw the vistors take a 1 goal lead into the break. Eschmann double his tally in the second half to maintain his sides bid to make the top 6 before the league splits.

Stratford were able to pull a goal back before the half. The second half saw more of the same with another 5 goals to cap off strong display from Kaponga who ended up 10-3 winners.
