MEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 12: 

Thirsty Whale Napier City Rovers welcomed Watson Integrity PN Marist FC to Bluewater Stadium. Neither side were able to break the deadlock and headed into the break all locked up at 0-0.  It was eventually the visitors who secured a 1-0 victory on the road thanks to an 89th minute strike from Troy Aitken.  

WOMEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 10: 

Havelock North Wanderers took on Atlas New Plymouth Rangers at Guthrie Park. The visitors took the lead in the 23rd minute through Holly Andrews. Their lead was then doubled in the 38th minute when Ella Third found the back of the net. Just before the break the home side found a way back into the match thanks to a 41st minute goal from Gabriella Anderson. Rangers restored their cushion when Kennedy Heikell netted in the 60th minute and the match was put beyond any doubt in the 70th minute as Rebecca Sumpter scored to round off a deserved 4-1 win for the visitors.  

At Massey University Kitchens by Healey Palmerston North United welcomed OneStaff Marist Reserves. United took the lead in the 19th minute through Paris Liu. Marist equalised minutes later as Jess Robinson found the net. Goals in quick succession from Kasey Cavell and Lily Galloway seen United head to the break with a 3-1 lead. Aimee Erskine then reduced the deficit for Marist as she scored in the 61st minute to set up a grandstand finish. United however were able to hold on to their lead and secure a 3-2 victory as they claimed their first win of the season.   

 


YORB HORIZONS PREMIERSHIP:

Youm Marist Reserves hosted Levin AFC at Skoglund Park. Neither side were able to trouble the scorers in the first half. Cody Stewart opened the scoring in the 49th minute for the visitors before Kunal Nand doubled their lead in the 80th minute. Ethan McRae pulled on back late in the match for Marist however it would only be a consolation goal as Levin held on to take a 2-1 win on the road.

At Wembley Park GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic Reserves and Wanganui City 1sts went to battle in what was n entertaining fixture. Athletic eventually taking the win and local bragging rights with a 4-2 win on the day. Goals for Athletic were scored by Flynn Johnston (2), Quinn Mailman, and Benjamin Huijs. Whilst Daniel Aplin and Mason McGahey were the scorers for City.

Longchill Takaro Jokers and Advance Electrical Palmerston North United went to battle at the Ashhurst Domain. In a game that produced 9 goals it was United who were eventually 6-3 winners in an entertaining match. Anthony Jones (2), Josh Shannon, Alex Kilkelly, Connor Vine, and Yay Pay Tha were the scorers for United. Mark Manson, Cain Brown, and Veteran Scott Mudgway finding the back of the net for Takaro.

At Skoglund Park PNBHS 1st XI welcomed Team Lewis Innovation Feilding AFC. In what was a close match it was a 52nd minute goal from Mahiro Hada that was eventually the difference as the students claimed a hard earned 1-0 victory.

 Game of the round (14):

Longchill Takaro Jokers host GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic Reserves in what is sure to be a great match. 2nd v 3rd on the table and neither side can afford to drop any points if they are wanting to catch the league leaders.


HORIZONS CHAMPIONSHIP:

Isles Construction Marist Inter took on Levin Reserves at Skoglund Park. A Nathan Eyles first half double seen Levin take a 2-0 lead into the break. Marist were able to reduce the deficit with a 62nd minute goal from Charlie Parker however that was as close as they would get as Levin held on to score a valuable 2-1 win away from home.

Chillmax Takaro Titans and Palmerston North United development were unable to be split as they played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at the Ashhurst Domain. Brogan Hennessy, Thomas Addy, and Ramazan Ali were the scorers for Takaro. Ashraf Muhammad-Ali (2), and Jamie Wilsher with the goals for United.

A 10th minute strike from Jared Jainarain was the difference between the sides as the PNBHS 2nd XI came away 1-0 winners against the Team Campbell - Harcourts Feilding Utd Reserves.

Game of the round (14):

Chillmax Takaro Titans take on Linton FC. Linton were winners last time the sides met and Takaro will be looking to get one back here. This match could be crucial in deciding which team makes the top 4 with the league set to split at the conclusion of this round.


MANAWATU DIVISION 1:

. Celts Goal coming from James Dunsmore, and Nathan Schischka, Lachlan Trask (4) win away from home. Goal Scorers for Levin were 6-1Smartphone Repairs PN Marist Celts took on the Levin AFC Colts at Celaeno Park. It was the young Levin Side who managed to come out on top in this one as they accounted for the celts with a comfortable Bailey Wynd.

At the Ashhurst Domain Chillmax Takaro Rebels and Massey University Good Guys were unable to be split as they played out an exciting 2-2 draw. David Phillips and CJ Leighton netting for Takaro whilst Connor Tunnicliffe and Michael Hilson were the scorers for Massey.

Takaro Jhapa United came out of the blocks firing against Freedom Plus Marist Bulldogs as they jumped out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Dipendra Neupane (2) and Peter Sarki. Bailey Wynd netted for the Bulldogs in the 40th minute to reduce the deficit heading into half time. Netra Ghimire with an 81st minute goal for Takaro again extended their lead before a 90th minute penalty was converted by Pat Mansfield for the Bulldogs as the match ended 4-2 to Takaro.

Game of the round (14):

Red Sox Wrinklies and Massey University Good Guys go to battle in a clubhouse derby between the 2nd and 3rd Placed teams on the table. Who will take bragging rights away from this fixture?


MANAWATU DIVISION 2:

North End Vets took on McDonalds Feilding United Development at Celaeno Park. It was the home side who were winners on this occasion as they claimed a 5-1 win. Goal Scorers for North End were Kyle Pilcher, Kuda Ngwerume, James Bell, Yann Mountou, and Dylan Odell. Whilst Noah Leavesley was the scorer for Feilding.

Dannevirke Rangers hosted the Marist Park Rangers at the Dannevirke Showgrounds. Neither side were able to find the back of the net as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the Red Sox Derby, it was the unbeaten Saints up against the A’s. The A’s raced out to a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Ian Robinson, Matt McCallum, and Daniel Harris. Saints then reduced the deficit with goals from Jayden Van Timmeren and Griffin Auer in the 23rd and 28th minute. The A’s again extended their lead as Robinson and Harris both added to their 2nd of the match as the A’s took a 5-2 lead into the break. Neither side were able to add to the score in the second spell and the A’s held on to hand the saints their first defeat of the season.  

The Mad Butcher Takaro Fury raced out to an early lead against the CAC Marist Greenies thanks to goals from Hayden Johnston and Pradeep Thapa. The Greenies reduced the deficit in the 35th minute with a well taken goal from Ryan Young. Both sides battled the wind and tried did their best to add to the score but neither side were able to do so as Takaro held on to claim a 2-1 win over a Valliant Greenies.

Game of the round (14):

 1v2 as Marist Park Rangers and Red Sox Saints go to battle. Saints are coming off their first loss of the season and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways. Meanwhile Park Rangers are in good form and a win will see them close the gap to just one point. This is sure to be a cracking fixture.


MANAWATU DIVISION 3:

Post Office Hotel Pahiatua FC welcomed JRM Automotive Marist Royals to Bush Park in a top of the table clash that did not fail to deliver. The sides were unable to be split with the match ending 2-2. Scorers for Pahiatua were Mason Anderson and Niklas Schoreit. Marists Scorers unknown.

Fortune Shumba gave the Drillco North End Socials the best possible start against the Groombridge Electrical Feilding C Team when he netted in just the 13th minute. It took the visiting side until the 69th minute to equalise but once they did, they went on with the job as they scored 5 unanswered goals on their way to securing a come from behind 5-1 victory. Goal Scorers for Feilding were Ryan Dobson (2), Carne Groombridge, Luke Groombridge, and Campbell Hare.

At the Recreational Grounds the Woodville AFC 1sts took on Chillmax Takaro Glory. Sam Mckool opened the scoring in the 10th minute to give Takaro the lead. The home side responded with goals from Josh Ware and Cameron Martin as they took a 2-1 lead into the half time break. Neither side were able to add to the score in the second half as Woodville held on to claim a hard-fought win against a tough Takaro Opponent.

At the Ashhurst Domain the Red Sox Hustlers were 4-1 winners over the Manawatu Plunderers. Goal Scorers for Red Sox were Rob Hunter (2), Sophal Dowall, and Ryan Stockley. Plunderers scorer was Jon Clearwater.

At Donnelly Park the Levin Socials welcomed Takaro Bua United. It was the visitors who managed to come away victors on this occasion as they secured a 3-2 win on the road thanks to goals from Nischal Prasad (2), and Jeremiah George. Levin’s scorers unknown.

       Game of the round (14):

Groombridge Electrical Feilding C Team welcome Post Office Hotel Pahiatua FC to Timona Park. The last time the sides met the match ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw. This match is sure to be another close one as both sides are serious title contenders and won’t be wanting to give the other an inch.


MANAWATU MASTERS DIVISION:

At Donnelly Park the Levin Vets were comfortable 6-0 winners against the Resonant Marist Masters thanks to goals from Greg Mitchell-Kouttab (4), Zane Bull, and Brent Tucker.

In the Red Sox Derby at Skoglund Park the Legends claimed clubhouse bragging rights with a 4-1 win against the Old Boys. Goal Scorers for the Legends were Mark McCarten, Samuel Hill, Chris Osborne, and an Own Goal. Old Boys Scorer Unknown.

At Timona Park Jennian Homes Feilding United masters took on the Marist Banshees. Corey Kotuhi and Mike Lewis netting early to give the hosts a 2-0 lead. Michael Glass netted for the Banshees to reduce the deficit in the 26th minute. Neither side were able to add to the score for the remaining 65 minutes as Feilding held on to a claim a valuable 2-1 win.

MKM Marist Shamrock Rovers welcomes Wanganui Marist Wanderers to Ashhurst. Jason Mann netting in the 13th minute to give Wanganui the lead. John Myszczyszyn then equalised for the Shamrock Rovers in the 17th minute. Mann put Wanganui back in front in the 31st minute as they took a 2-1 lead into the break. Both sides did their best to add to the scores in the second spell but neither side was able to do so as Wanganui held on for a valuable 2-1 win away from home.

Game of the round (14):

A Marist Derby between the Banshees and the Shamrock Rovers is sure to be a cracker as the sides look to claim bragging rights. When the sides met earlier in the year the match ended 1-1 and all signs point to another close one here.


TEAM ROBINSON MANAWATU WOMEN’S

Dannevirke Valkyrie and Levin AFC Women met at Hokowhitu Park. It was Levin who came away with a 7-0 win thanks to goals from Kirsty Kiri (2), Lauren Guerin, Rebekah Sinclair, Hayley Shaw, Ashleigh Collis, and Vanessa Smith.

In the Marist Derby it was the Young Development side who came out on top 5-4 as they handed the Mayhem their first loss of the season. Goal Scorers for Development were Amber Mahoney (2), Lisa Ford, Aimee Ford, and Isabella Yarwood. Scorers for Mayhem were Alevya Skerrett (2), Nicole Robertson, and Toni Taufale.

At Hokowhitu Park LJ Contracting Takaro Avengers took on the Gree Marist Evergreenz. The Evergreenz were too strong here in this one as they claimed a 4-1 victory on the day. Evergreenz goals coming via a Hattrick from Amber Mahoney as well as a goal from Jane Archer. Tina Phillips was the scorer for the Avengers.

Rosco's Bulk Yard Feilding Utd AFC were comfortable 7-0 winners over the Takaro Harlequins thanks to goals from Sarah Fairless (3), Lexie White, Eden Surville, Danielle Zentveld, and Kat Penny-Baker.

Chillmax Takaro X-Force took on Massey Reserves at Hokowhitu Park. It was Massey who took the lead thanks to Amy Macaulay in the 35th minute. Takaro came out firing in the second half and created several chances. Massey defended well and looked to have done enough to hold out a strong Takaro side however Maria Gurney broke Massey hearts with a 94th minute equaliser as the match ended in a thrilling 1-1 draw.

At the University the Massey Golden Girls went to battle with the Tranzit Marist Mysteries. Mysteries took the lead just before half time when Anna Sturm converted from the penalty spot. An Own Goal early in the second half brought the golden girl’s level. Olivia Anderson would eventually prove to be the match winner as she netted in the 75th minute to secure a 2-1 win for the Mysteries.

Game of the round (6):

Massey University Reserves welcome Rosco's Bulk Yard Feilding Utd AFC to the University for what looks to be a cracking match.  4th v 6th on the table and only a couple of points separate the sides who will come out on top in this one?
