The other Championship side gone is Millwards Roofing FC Western Champs as they went down 2-7 to Peringa United Prems although Western had the early lead after Brook Kelsen bagged a quick double the Premiership side powered home with the help of some clinical finishing from Stephen Alderdice who netted a hat-trick and Dylan Hayman with the brace. The last two quarter finals were all Premiership affairs both also finishing 3-1 as defending Championships Smith & Sons Eltham were too strong for Proglaze Waitara, Isaac Smith leading the way with a double and Rampage Fitness FC Western knocked over JLE NP Rangers in the second game at Lynmouth Park to set up the final four.
For the Nimmos Cup we have to started with the 0-0 draw that went to penalties after extra time as defending Championship HEL Rimu NP Rangers Oddbodz were knocked out by Hutchins Dick Peringa Pirates 4-3 from the spot kicks. Last year’s runners up Charrua Kaponga are also knocked out after Kaitake FC put them to the sword 9-0, James Belvington rocketing home a hat-trick also braces for both Paul Cunningham and Steve Marshall. McDonalds Stratford Div1 came back from one down at half time to defeat Inglewood Div2 4-1 which saw Rikki Parrett return to football after over a year out with a broken leg, he scored with his first touch and then his third which is unbelievable return.
