Eastern Premiership Round 11

Gisborne United 1st’s secured a solid 3–0 win over Thirsty Whale NCR Reserves in a competitive match at Harry Barker Reserve.

Jonathan Purcell opened the scoring in the 24th minute, giving the hosts a 1–0 lead at halftime. United continued to control key moments in the second half, with Josh Adams adding two quick goals in the 66th and 72nd minutes to seal the result.

NCR had periods of possession but were unable to break through a well-structured United defence. A clinical and composed performance from United earned them all three points.

Hawke's Bay Championship Round 11

ECR Western Rangers Reserves recorded a 5–1 win over Liquid Gold Maycenvale Strollers in a match that shifted early and remained in the visitors’ favour.

Maycenvale took an early lead in the 6th minute through Dylan Simo, but Rangers responded quickly with an equaliser from Giovanni Mullins. Ryley Langley then made a key impact, scoring twice before halftime and adding two more in the second half to finish with four goals.

Both sides had moments of pressure, but Rangers proved more clinical in front of goal, pulling away as the match progressed to secure all three points.

Hawke's Bay Division 2 Round 9

Burger Fuel Port Hill United Division 2 came from behind to earn a 3–1 win over Westshore Beach Inn Eskview United in a competitive encounter.

Eskview opened the scoring early through Jayden Moody in the 10th minute, but Port Hill responded almost immediately with a goal from Jason Bishop just a minute later. Lewis Worthing added a second shortly after to give the visitors a 2–1 lead at the break.

Both teams had chances in the second half, but it was Luke Kenworthy who secured the result for Port Hill with a late goal in the 81st minute.

Union Hotel Napier South claimed a 4–1 win over Taradale AFC Kingz in a match where early pressure and second-half control proved decisive.

Napier South started strongly, taking a two-goal lead within the first 15 minutes through Alex Schwabenland and Liam McKinley. The momentum continued after the break, with Alister Nunn and Hisham Thainat extending the advantage.

Taradale responded late through Reeve Marshall-Cram, but the deficit proved too much to overcome.

Hawke's Bay Women's Championship

Thirsty Whale NCR made the most of a fast start, scoring five goals in the opening 25 minutes to take early control of the match. Scarlett McIvor led the way with a first-half hat-trick, supported by goals from Alex Simons and Abby Oliver.

Western Rangers pulled one back through Lottie Van Duin just before halftime and added a second in the 61st minute. However, further goals from Brooke Spencer and Casey Ralph in the second half ensured a comfortable win for the home side.
