Paul Awa’s 21st minute strike saw Watson Integrity PN Marist FC draw first blood in the Palmerston North derby that strike looked to have seen PN Marist take all 3 points until Palmerston North United’s Benjamin Mori levelled the scores in the 86th minutes to see the points shared.

Women’s Central League
It was a close first half when Shadow Solutions Taradale AFC hosted Victoria Unversity Women’s. It took until the 43rd minute before Samantha Waru put Taradale on the board and gave the home team a slight lead at the break. The second half saw Waru double the Taradale lead in the 52nd minute. From there the goals kept flowing for Taradale with Caitlyn Turner scored in the 63rd minute the six minutes later Megan Thomas added to the lead before bagging a second in the 82nd minute. Cara O’Neill added a 6th goal not long before time to give Taradale a big confidence boost going forward.

Taranaki Championship 2025
League leaders Hawera Kitchen Ltd Hawera FC struck with in the first 15 minutes through Jake Hitchcock to get them out of the blocks fast. Western Autos Moturoa AFC were left to rue missed chances starting with Hawera Keeper Josh Hobson saving a penalty midway through the first half to preserve the lead for the home team. The second half saw the Hawera control the game and dictate the pace of the game. They then doubled their lead when Jimmy Xavier capitalised from the penalty spot. The game was then put out of reach when Daniel White reacted first to put a loose ball into the back of the net.

It was a tense and even encounter when NP Rangers Old Boys took on Novotel Woodleigh FC at Merrilands Domain. It looked set to be scoreless at the break until Faris Burwell found the back of the net just before the half time to give the visitor the lead going into the break. Woodleigh then added a second goal early in the second half through Jaedyn Davis. Sam Jiggins pull a goal back in the 52nd minute but NP Rangers Old Boys were unable to find the equaliser with Woodleigh managing to take the game 2-1

Pipeline Peringa United were ahead inside 10 minutes through Kris Butterworth when they took on Michielsens Transport Waitara SC Div3. Peringa doubled their lead heading into the break when Nitin Khare found the back of the net. Khare Doubled his tally for the day and Peringa’s 3rd goal just after half time. The game was put out of reach when Anthony Kilpatrick turned one back into his own net and Butterworth also grabbed a second for the day when he made the score 5 nil.

A second minute strike to Mike Maxim got Webber Building Kaitake FC HBs on the front foot early in their game against the Woodleigh Masters. Maxim added a second late in the first half to give Kaitake a 2 goal lead at the half time break. Matthew Thomas then got himself on the scoresheet in the 60th minute before Maxim grabbed his 3rd on the day in the 62nd minute. Eddie Sera then made it 5 when he scored in the 82nd minute.

It was a scoreless first half when Waitara SC Womens played Peringa United Ladies in wet conditions at Manukorihi Park. Amy Scarle open the scoring in the 55th minute. The game continued at 1 nil right up until the 80th minute until Amy Reumers doubled the lead. The next 10 minutes saw a flurry of goals to Piper Wedgwood and a second Amy Reumers and Amy Scarle to see Waitara win 5 nil.
