Chatham Cup 2025
Kenzie Dillon got PN Marist off to the perfect start when he put them into the lead in the 4th minute of their Chatham Cup game against Whanganui Athletic. Whanganui Athletics chances took a big blow when Ilias El Maakoul was given his marching orders in the 38th minute after picking up a second yellow card. The second half was just as tight as the first however PN Marist doubled their lead through Dominic Richmond in the 67th minute. Tensions boiled over late in the second half with both teams being reduced to 9 men after Austyn Beales and Richmond were shown red for PN Marist and Whanganui Athletics Ryan Noon was the recipient of a second yellow as well. PN Marist take the game 2 nil and move on to the next round.

It was a close encounter when Manawatu Knitting Mills PN Marist hosted Shadow Solutions Taradale AFC in the Kate Sheppard cup. Neither team could be separated at the end of full time with the scores locked at 0 – 0. However it was a 7minute period that blew the game wide open with 2 goals to Isabella Yarwood in the 95th and 102nd minutes and a goal to Melissa McKenna in the 98th minute to see them advance to the next round of the Kate Sheppard cup.

However, in the second half, Cameron Emerson finally broke the deadlock, giving Rovers the lead. The excitement didn't stop there, as Adam Hewson and Max Chrétien also found the back of the net, extending Rovers' lead. In the end, Rovers took the win 3-nil

In this weekend's highly anticipated Match of the Round, Liquid Gold Maycenvale played host to Taradale AFC Reserves. The game started off with a bang as Ethan Berge scored an early goal for Taradale in the 28th minute. Maycenvale fought back in the second half and managed to equalize, but Taradale wasn't going down without a fight. In the 67th minute, Artorius Solon scored a brilliant goal to put Taradale back in the lead. And just when it seemed like the game was coming to a close, Morgan Weaver sealed the deal with another goal in the final minutes of the match, securing a 3-1 victory for Taradale.
