This week Manawatu Knitting Mills PN Marist welcome the full of confidence Wellington Phoenix Academy u18. The Wellington Phoenix’s Katie Pugh struck first in the 40th minute to give the visitors the lead after a tense first half. The second half saw Pugh double her tally for the day in the 62nd minute. PN Marist’s struggles in front of goal continued as they were unable to beat Phoenix Keeper Harriet Muller as the Wellington Phoenix Academy took the game 2-0.

In this week's game of the round, we had Peggy’s Gordon’s NP Rangers AFC taking on NP Physiotherapy at Stadium Taranaki. This was expected to be a tight, tactical affair between two Taranaki rivals. The first goal wouldn't arrive until the 32nd minute thanks to FC Western’s Matthew Sanger. This goal would give FC Western a slender 1-0 lead at halftime. The second half continued very much as the first did. Both sides shared opportunities with no team taking real control of the game. With the game nearing the end Flynn Whitaker stepped up in the 85th minute to give FC Western that crucial second goal. Rangers would not give up however, managing to get one back from Logan Smith to create a frantic finish. Unfortunately for them time would be their enemy as FC Western would hang on to take a tight 2-1 victory.

Horizons Championship
In this week's game of the round, we had G.J. Gardner Homes Feilding Utd AFC Men’s Reserves hosting Levin AFC Reserves. In this game was your classic game of two halves. The first half was all Feilding as they took a 4-1 lead to halftime. Goals were scored by Douglas Venner (9th minute), Luke Groombridge (10th minute), Riley Jenkins (24th minute) and Nicolas Blair OG (37th minute). Levin would get one back just before halftime in the 38th minute thanks to Nathan Stout. Despite the 4-1 scoreline Levin would not give up and goals to Laclan Trask (64th minute) and Jack Davis (75th minute) would create an exciting finish. Levin pushed but Feilding managed to hold on to win 4-3 in a game that seemed over at halftime.

In this week’s game of the round, we had Subway Massey University FC Good Guys hosting RSM Wrinkles in a top of the table clash. Both teams have made perfect starts this season, so this was sure to be a classic. It would be Massey who would get off to the perfect start with goals to Liam Wells and Alex Kilkelly in the 12th and 14th minute. Massey were in full control and would take a 2-0 lead going into halftime. With tackles beginning to fly Massey would maintain their momentum and control in the second half. They would go on to add another three goals thanks to Oliver Douglas 61’, Bailey Cooke 71’ and Ryan Noble 86’. This would be how it would end, a commanding 5-0 win to Massey Good Guys to grow their lead at the top of the table.

In this week's game of the round, we had North End Vets taking on Levin AFC Sports at Skoglund Park. This game started off very evenly with both teams scoring 1 a piece in the first half. The first goal came from Levins Zane Hartwell in the 7th minute. North End hit back just before halftime thanks to Yann Mountou in the 34th minute. Levin would take the lead early in the second half thanks to a second goal from Zane. In a 5-minute burst, however, North End would go from 2-1 down to 4-2 up. Goals to Bikimi Ayiya, Ruairidh Morrison and a second to Yann Mountou would shock the victors. Levin would get one back late thanks to Jamie Bronlund but it would be too little, too late as North End would hold on to win 4-3.

In this week's game of the round, we had RSM Legends hosting Post Office Hotel Pahiatua FC. This would end up being an eleven-goal thriller with RSM Legends taking the game incredibly 6-5. Pahiatua would get out to a 5-2 lead thanks to four goals from Liam Williamson and one from Hunter Smith. The two goals for legends would come from Jason Baylis and Jayden Van Timmeren. The Legends would never give in and would go on to score 4 unanswered goals and win thanks to Jayden Van Timmeren, Matt Harmer, Regan Currie and Samuel Hill. A crazy game that could have gone either way.

This was a tight game throughout the full 90 minutes with both sides not being separated. The second half would be exact same with a second goal from Marists Darryl Newsome in the 70th minute. The game would end 2-2 between two evenly matched sides.

In the weeks game of the round, we had GJ Gardner Whanganui Athletic Women hosting Wallace Roofing Takaro AFC X-Force at Wembley Park. Both sides were eager to maintain touching distance with the leading teams. It would be Athletic who would start the best with a goal from Isla Jones in the 10th minute. Athletic would make it 2-0 with Vanya Apiata Hodgkinson continuing her hot scoring form in the 25th minute. Athletic would go into halftime with a 2-0 lead and in full. They would come out in the second half looking to add to their lead. Vanya would add two in the 60th and 85th minute to complete her Hatrick and a comprehensive 4-0 victory for Whanganui Athletic. This keeps them well in hunt behind Rangers and Mayhem.
