Central Football is excited to announce the launch of "Positive Vibes Only", aimed at fostering positive and inclusive environments in sports. Set to take off this year, the campaign emphasises the importance of constructive sideline behaviour and strives to create a culture centered around fun and participation, ensuring that sports are enjoyable for everyone - players, coaches, spectators, and officials alike.
The "Positive Vibes Only" initiative is designed to encourage sportsmanship and positivity, emphasising the joy of participating over the pressure of winning. This shift in focus is pivotal as sports should be a platform for connection, community, and growth.
Following a prominent social media campaign each region will host two activations where "Positive Vibes Only" will be prominently showcased at selected parks. These activations will feature vibrant signage, spot prizes, flags, face paint, and colourful hair spray, creating a festive atmosphere and a great visual reminder to keep things positive. Children will be encouraged to wear pink on the designated days, reinforcing a sense of unity and excitement among participants.
John McGifford, Central Football’s Special Projects Manager, emphasises the importance of this campaign: “The ‘Positive Vibes Only’ initiative is about creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. We want to remind everyone involved in football—players, coaches, referees, and supporters—that the essence of sports is joy and companionship. By promoting positive behaviours on the sidelines, we can all play a part in making football a better and more inclusive experience for everyone.”
