Men’s Central League 2

It was your cliched Game of 2 halves when Watson Integrity PN Marist played hosts to Suchy & Co Realty Ltd FC Western with the home team scoring inside 10 minutes through Campbell Wallace then Dominic Richmond converted from the spot less than 5 minutes later. FC Western found themselves back in the contest when Jack Flood netted his penalty opportunity to cut the PN Marist lead to 1 just before the half.  The second half saw neither team able to find the back of the net until second half substitute Jack Gunson scored to level the scores. FC western then claimed all 3 points when Flood scored his second of the day very late on.

Quick fire goals to Farina Anchico and Hannah Pilley had the visiting Wellington United Diamonds team ahead inside 15minute when they travelled up to Taradale Park to face Shadow Solutions Taradale AFC. Achinco then grabbed a second just before the end of the first half giving the visitors a 3 goal lead going into the break. The second half saw more of the same as Wellington United scored 3 more times during the second half first to Natalie Olson who continued her hot start to the season infront of goal. Carolyn O’Reilly then grabbed herself a brace as the defending champions ran our 6-0 winners.

This week sees Excel Refrigeration Moturoa AFC welcome a Waterside Karori Side who have started to find their form with back to back victories. Moturoa will be looking to slow them down and grab a crucial 3 points to springboard their season in the right direction.

Central League Round 3

This past weekend, Napier City Rovers played host to Upper Hutt City Football at Bluewater. The game was intense from the start, with both teams battling it out in a tightly contested first half. Despite their best efforts, neither side managed to score a goal.

But then, in the 65th minute, Stephen Hoyle came through with a brilliant goal, breaking the deadlock and sending the crowd into a frenzy! The Rovers fought hard to maintain their lead, but Upper Hutt City Football refused to back down. In the 87th minute, they managed to score, tying up the game and leaving both teams with a well-deserved point.

Yorb Eastern Premiership Round 4

In this weekend's thrilling match of the round, the HNW Big Barrel Premiers faced off against the Jarks Cityside Western Rangers. The Rangers came out strong, scoring an early goal by Riley Carrington. However, the HNW team fought back and equalized just before halftime, making it 1-1 at the break.

The second half was where the real excitement happened! The Home Side dominated, scoring 3 quick goals to take the lead. The Rangers didn't back down, scoring two goals of their own. But it wasn't enough to catch up to HNW, who secured a nail-biting 4-3 victory.

Hawkes Bay Championship Round 3

In this weekend's match, the Taradale Reserves welcomed the HNW Cole Murray Reserves for their first home game of the season. HNW took an early lead in the first half, scoring two goals. The second half saw HNW dominating the field, adding four more goals to extend their lead to an impressive 6-0. Taradale managed to score one goal late in the game, thanks to the efforts of Ethan Berge. However, it was not enough to stop HNW from securing a resounding 6-1 victory.
