Weekly Review 20 - 21 July:

Women’s Central League 2024:
Excel Refrigeration Moturoa hosted Manawatu Knitting Mills Palmerston North Marist FC a battle of 5th vs 4th. The game started with a hiss and a roar with chances coming at either end, but it was Palmerston North Marist who capitalised on one of those chances to break the deadlock midway through the first half. The rest of the first half was back and forth with no team really gaining the upper hand. The second half saw Moturoa start the better of the 2 teams creating chances to score shortly after half time, but they were unable to find the back of the net. The game took a turn when the Palmerston North Marist keeper was sent off for bringing down the striker one on one. Moturoa were unable to find an equaliser and make the most of the advantage they had for the last 20 minutes and the visiting side able to hang on for a 1-0 Win on the road.
