A classic mid-season six pointer played out as Taradale were third on the ladder before kick off with Palmy United 5^th, three points back. Both teams have high aspirations for this season and this was a big game for them both. It was Palmy United who were looking good early taking a two goal lead into the break with tardale yet to get on the scoresheet. Taradale built pressure in the second half scoring through Liam Hall from a corner to bring the game back to life. The home sides hopes of gaining some points from the match were ended when Anthony James scored for Palmy in the 83^rd minute making the score 1-3  at the time, which would be the final result.  Other results meant that Palmy Utd and Taradale sit 4^th and 5^th respectively on 12 points now (Palmy have a game in hand).

Whanganui Athletic headed to New Plymouth Rangers needing a win to keep pace with leaders Palmy United. The last meeting saw the sides separated by a single goal. This time around though it was a more comfortable result for Athletic and they took a two goal lead into the break before Charonnay Ross-Elvin scored in the 72^nd minute to secure a brace for herself and a 0-3 win on the road for Whanganui.
