Whanganui Results Roundup | 20th & 21st April

Lotto Men’s Federation league

Match of the Round

NZ Forestry Peringa United vs Shani’s Taradale AFC

The match of the round saw Taradale travel across the federation to Taranaki to take on Peringa at Peringa Park. Taradale had been perfect to start the season and this trip would prove challenging, not just because of the opposition but weather and rain that became significant during the match. The game was a tough one for both sides but Taradale managed to get on the scoresheet twice with goals to Zac Madsen 14’ and Cam Paterson 16’ in the early part of the first half. That turned out to be the end of the scoring and play was abandoned in the 75th minute as the rain poured in and the pitch became waterlogged. As 75 minutes of the match had taken place, the match is deemed to have been “played”. Score 0-2 to Taradale.
