Taranaki Appointment - Michael Reive, Community Operations Manager

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Reive to our Taranaki based Community Operations Manager role.

Via a recent review of how we operate across the Federation, we have determined that a slight change in role was appropriate for the Taranaki region to help support potential growth, ensure our clubs are sustainable, are positioned to provide great experiences for their members, and to support how we grow and develop match officials in the region. The role is also designed to provide the region, and John Gray as our Regional Community Manager, with additional support around the junior/youth competitions space and the delivery of our community and development programs such as Holiday Programs and FTC.

Michael will be known to many in the Taranaki football community and has a lifetime of involvement in the game. He played at Central League level for Team Taranaki and still players socially for Moturoa FC. He has been involved in coaching at junior level and via our FTC program and also has a keen interest in the development of the girls and women’s’ game in the region. Michael is well regarded in the football community as a genuine person who is engaging and gets things done. He is considered in his approach but also more than capable of making decisions that benefit the game across the region – all traits that were evident via the interview process.

Michael is taking some family leave with his third child due over the coming weeks and so will start with Central Football on the 20th May.

I am sure you will all join us in congratulating Michael on his appointment and offering him your support as he moves into this new role.
