

Amazing football was on show at Monrad Park at the inaugural Palmerston North United 9th grade tournament in association with Breakers Red Sox JFC.
Congratulations to the Marist YOUM Marist Wildcats winning the Cup in a brilliant final seeing them win 1-0 against the Breakers Red Sox Heroes.
3rd place went to Breakers Red Sox Avengers, coming back from an early goal to win 2-1 against the Ruahine Lions.
Also, thanks to the Palmerston North Utd 1sts team players for refereeing the round robin games and the Red Sox-Massey Academy U15 players for refereeing the knockout phase.


MEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND16:
Shani’s Taradale AFC welcomed Watson Integrity PN Marist to Taradale Park. Neither side were able to break the deadlock in the first half and the sides went to the break all locked up at 0-0. The Visitors came out firing in the second half and netted Three quick goals through Troye Aitken, Luke Minshull, and Josh Cremen. That was enough for Marist as they held the hosts scoreless to claim a valuable 3-0 win on the road.
Bayleys Palmerston North United were up against Thirsty Whale Napier City Rovers at Memorial Park. The visitors had been a thorn in United’s side so far this season as they had won the Three previous meetings between the sides however the hosts were determined to get one back and were able to do so in this fixture as they were clinical in front of goal and put out a quality performance as they claimed a comprehensive 7-1 victory over their rivals. Goal Scorers for United were Jacob Riley (2), Benjamin Mori, Aaron Richardson, Nathan Cooksley, Joseph Craven, and Patrick Smither. Rover’s goal scorer was Tom Speers.
WOMEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND13:
OneStaff Marist Reserves hosted ATLAS NP Rangers at Arena Manawatu. Kennedy Heikell gave the visitors the lead in the 16th minute. Aimee Erskine equalised for Marist just before the break as the sides went to the sheds all locked up. Neither side were able to add to their tallies in the second spell and the match ended in a hard fought 1-1 draw.
At Massey University Kitchens by Healey Palmerston North United welcomed Excel Refrigeration Moturoa. Fernanda Toscani opened the scoring in the 7th minute for the visitors before a quick-fire brace from Jenna Barry seen Moturoa take a 3-0 lead into the break. Elizabeth Dombroski pulled a goal back for United early in the second half. Toscani then added her 2nd of the match to extend the visitors lead once again. United were not going down without a fight and responded with quick goals from Kirstie Baker and Dombroski to make it 4-3 with time remaining. Amelia Riddick then netted in the 75th minute to restore the cushion for Moturoa before Hannah Carey reduced the deficit once more with a goal of her own in the 77th minute. The final 10 minutes were tense, and the match could have gone either way however the visitors were able to hang on for a thrilling 5-4 win as they keep their 100% record intact.
YORB HORIZONS PREMIERSHIP:
Youm Marist Reserves made it back-to-back wins as they accounted for teamlewis innovation Feilding Utd 4-0 at Arena Manawatu. Goal Scorers were Alex Harold (2), Mateo Godoy, and Lachlan Robinson.
At Wembley Park Wanganui City 1sts hosted Levin AFC. It was the visiting side who were comfortable winners as they secured a 7-1 Victory on the road. Scorers for Levin were Jaedyn Dawson (3), Keegan Chapman, Toby James, Oliver James, Luke Spring. City’s goal coming via an Own Goal.
PNBHS 1st XI were up against LongChill Takaro Jokers at Skoglund Park. It was a 16th minute goal from Darren Juru that was the difference on the day as Boys High secured a hard fought 1-0 win.
At Massey University Advance Electrical Palmerston North United hosted GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic Reserves. This match was a 7 Goal thriller eventually won by PNU 4-3. Goal Scorers for United were Quinn Granger, Ben Meyer, Connor Vine, and an Own Goal. Athletics goals coming from Ryan Donaldson (2) and Jordan Gilmore.
Advance Electrical Palmerston North United were presented with the Horizon’s Premiership winners’ trophy on Saturday. Congratulations on a great season team well done!!!

HORIZONS CHAMPIONSHIP:
Levin Reserves welcomed lsles Construction Marist Inter to Donnelly Park for what was a close encounter. A 14th minute goal from TJ Matenga proving to be the difference as the Visitors claimed a 1-0 win to set up a league deciding match next week against PNU.
Chillmax Takaro Titans were up against Palmerston North United Development. PNU knew that nothing less than a win would be enough. They were able to get the job done here as they accounted for the Titans with a 5-1 win thanks to goals from Tyrone Brown (2), Ashraf Muhammad-Ali (2), and an Own Goal. Takaro’s scorer was Ramazan Ali.
PNBHS 2nd XI took on Linton FC at Skoglund Park. Linton took a 2-0 lead into half time thanks to a brace of goals from Tomos Jones. The lead was extended just after half time thanks to Jack Mcneely. Luke Radford pulled one back from the spot in the 61st minute however it would only be a consolation for the students as Linton held on to claim a 3-1 win on the day.

MANAWATU DIVISION 1:
Massey University Good Guys hosted Chillmax Takaro Rebels at the University. It was a 67th minute goal from Evan Roberts that was eventually the winning goal as Takaro claimed a hard fought 1-0 win over Massey.

JG Residential North End Old Boys take on the Chillmax Takaro Rebels. North End will be wanting to bounce back to winning ways after a week off and Takaro will be looking to continue their winning ways after a great result last week.
MANAWATU DIVISION 2:
Levin Sports welcomed Dannevirke Rangers to Donnelly Park. It was Dannevirke who claimed a 2-1 victory on the road thanks to a brace of goals from Calder Woodfield. Levin’s goal coming from Brendan Howell.
Red Sox Saints scored a come from behind 3-2 win against North End Vets. Goal Scorers for Red Sox were Charlos Wakur (2), and Griffin Auer. North Ends goals were scored by Yann Mountou and Kuda Ngwerume.
At Timona Park McDonalds Feilding Development took on CAC Marist Greenies. It was the Greenies who claimed a 4-2 victory in this match. Scorers for Marist Unknown. Scorers for Feilding Were Jarlath Witbooi and AJ Hall.
Marist Park Rangers were convincing 6-0 winners over the Massey University Rigs. Scorers for Marist were Ryan Barrass (2), Pah Eh Say, Richard Penney, Liam Outtrim, and Yaakob Mohamed.
Red Sox A’s were up against The Mad Butcher Takaro Fury at Celaeno Park. Takaro took the lead in the 21st minute through Teslim Raheem. David Saunders equalised for Red Sox in the 37th minute. It was eventually Takaro with Two second half goals through Hayden Johnston and Amit Hamal who came out on top 3-1.

MANAWATU DIVISION 3:
At Donnelly Park Levin Social Welcomed Post Office Hotel Pahiatua FC. It was the visitors who came out on top here as they secured a 6-1 win thanks to goals from Liam Williamson (3), Niklas Schoreit (2), and Bjorn Greaves. Levin’s goal was scored by Andrew Yan.
Groombridge Electrical Feilding C Team were again winners this time 4-0 over Woodville AFC 1sts. Gamied Fredericks with a Hattrick and Cameron Fairless also getting his name on the scoresheet.
JRM Automotive Marist Royals kept their spot at the top of the table as they accounted for Takaro Bua United with a 3-0 win. Goals from Tue Larsen, Ely Malyo, and Daniel Palfreyman.
Red Sox Hustlers bounced back to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Chillmax Takaro Glory thanks to goals from Krittamet Chiewvatsagonchai, David Burrows, and Ryan Stockley.

Takaro Bua host Groombridge Electrical Feilding C Team. 3rd v 5th and Feilding will need a victory to keep their title chances alive. Takaro are sure to have something to say about that.
MANAWATU MASTERS DIVISION:
Levin Vets kept their tittle hopes alive as they accounted for the Marist Banshees 7-0 at the Ashhurst Domain. Goal Scorers for Levin were Greg Mitchell-Kouttab (4), Jason Smith, Julian Newson, and Zane Bull.
Red Sox Legends did Levin a huge favour as they secured a hard fought 1-0 win over Jennian Homes Feilding United thanks to a 30th minute goal from Hari Fovakis.
Resonant PN Marist Masters took on Wanganui Marist Wanderers at the Ashhurst Domain. Ben Murphy got Wanganui off to a flying start as he netted in the very first minute. Richard Morgan levelled the scores with a 29th minute strike. Brent Scott then restored the visitors advantage in the 33rd minute before Darryl Newsome levelled again for the home side on the stroke of half time. The match looked to be heading for a draw until an 86th minute own goal by PN Marist gave Wanganui a late lead and they were able to hold on to claim a 3-2 win away from home.
At Skoglund Park the Red Sox Old Boys were 3-2 winners over the MKM Marist Shamrock Rovers. Goal Scorers for Red Sox were Adam Rose (2), and Clinton Malaquin. Marists scorers were Matthew Vangioni and Grant Rudman.

Jennian Homes Feilding United host Levin Vets at Timona Park. This is the final game of the season, and the winner of this match will claim the 2023 master’s title.
TEAM ROBINSON MANAWATU WOMEN’S PREMIERSHIP
Chillmax Takaro X-Force took on Chapple Architecture Marist Mayhem. Brooke Argyle gave Marist the lead in the 37th minute as they went to the break with a 1-0 lead. Kowhai Eynon- Hudson levelled the score with a goal in the 50th minute. Alevya Skerrett then put the Mayhem back in front when she netted in the 59th minute. It was Hudson again who was able to find the net and bring Takaro level with her 2nd goal in the 80th minute. Neither side were able to find the winning goal and the match ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Levin AFC hosted Isles Construction Marist Development. Isabella Yarwood put Marist in front with a 44th minute goal. Levin equalised thanks to Monika Ross-Spooner in the 49th minute. Marist then kicked into gear and scored four unanswered goals through Amber Mahoney (2), Lisa Ford, and Maire Te Ata Walker on their way to a 5-1 victory on the road.
At Timona Park Rosco's Bulk Yard Feilding Utd AFC were 3-0 winners over Massey Reserves thanks to goals from Pamela Clough (2), and Sarah Fairless.

1 v 3 as Chillmax Takaro X-Force take on Isles Construction Marist Development. Takaro will need victory to keep their title hopes alive, Meanwhile the Development will be one step closer to the title with a win here. This is sure to be an exciting match.
TEAM ROBINSON MANAWATU WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
The Tranzit Marist Mysteries scored a well deserved 5-0 win against the Takaro Harlequins thanks to goals from Danielle Storrier (2), Phillipa Hay, Charlotte Holdsworth, and Tania Hook.
In the top of the table clash between the Gree Marist Evergreenz and the Takaro Avengers it was an 89th minute goal from Kelly McDermott that was the difference as the Avengers claimed a 1-0 win in thrilling fashion as they move one step closer to the championship title.
A 13th minute goal from Charlotte Hendry was enough for the Massey Golden Girls as they claimed a 1-0 victory on the road against the Dannevirke Valkyrie.

Dannevirke Valkyrie welcome the Takaro Harlequins in what is sure to be an exciting match. Last time the sides met it was Takaro winning 3-2. Dannevirke will be looking to get one back here.
