MEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 12: 

Thirsty Whale Napier City Rovers welcomed Watson Integrity PN Marist FC to Bluewater Stadium. Neither side were able to break the deadlock and headed into the break all locked up at 0-0.  It was eventually the visitors who secured a 1-0 victory on the road thanks to an 89th minute strike from Troy Aitken.  

WOMEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 10: 

Havelock North Wanderers took on Atlas New Plymouth Rangers at Guthrie Park. The visitors took the lead in the 23rd minute through Holly Andrews. Their lead was then doubled in the 38th minute when Ella Third found the back of the net. Just before the break the home side found a way back into the match thanks to a 41st minute goal from Gabriella Anderson. Rangers restored their cushion when Kennedy Heikell netted in the 60th minute and the match was put beyond any doubt in the 70th minute as Rebecca Sumpter scored to round off a deserved 4-1 win for the visitors.  

At Massey University Kitchens by Healey Palmerston North United welcomed OneStaff Marist Reserves. United took the lead in the 19th minute through Paris Liu. Marist equalised minutes later as Jess Robinson found the net. Goals in quick succession from Kasey Cavell and Lily Galloway seen United head to the break with a 3-1 lead. Aimee Erskine then reduced the deficit for Marist as she scored in the 61st minute to set up a grandstand finish. United however were able to hold on to their lead and secure a 3-2 victory as they claimed their first win of the season.   

HB REVIEW 

YORB Pacific Premiership 

Top of the table Clash this weekend, with HNW Big Barrel Premiers having the challenge of playing Pak n Save Tamatea Napier Marist. The teams couldn’t be split going into the second half 0:0. A second half brace from Finnn Baragwanath for HNW was enough to take the win 2:0. Duke of Gloucester NCR Prems took on Maycenvale Utd AFC. Maycenvale took the win 3:2. Palm City Motor Inn Port Hill United, took on Jarks Cityside Western Rangers Premiers. Port Hill opened the scoring in the first half with a goal from Jamie Provines. Port Hill looking to take the win. However, a late goal in the second half from Reuben Crossland was enough to end the game 1:1. There is one game still to be played at 6:30 tonight between Jark City Western Rangers Premiers and Pak n Save Tamatea Napier Marist.

HB Reserve League 

Thirsty Whale NCR Reserves took a comfortable win over Giant Brewing Maycenvale Strollers 5:1. HNW Cole Murray took on Rogue Hop Napier Marist. HNW opened the scoring in the first half taking the lead into the second half. HNW carried this momentum into the second half, netting 3 more goals and winning the game 4:2. Taradale Afc played Westshore Beach Inn Eskview in what was a competitive game, neither side was able to score in the first half. The scoring was opened in the second half by a goal from Matthew Betesta in the 54th minute for Eskview. This was quickly answered by Taradale’s Jeffery Hart ending the game in a 1:1 draw. 

Burger Fuel Port Hill Utd took on ECR Western Rangers. The Rangers had the lead in the first half 2:0. However Port hill came back in the second half netting four goals and ultimately winning the game 4: 3.

HB Division 2 

HNW Arataki Honeybees beat Western rangers 2:1 this weekend, with a brace from Jacob Whitfield. Paddy’s Bar NCR continued their winning ways this weekend. Winning 3:0 against Completebuild Taradale Vikings

HB Division 3 

Integrity Napier Marist stay top of the table after beating Hastings Hibernian Sports Club Hammers 3:1. Elite Flooring Maycenvale Vikings took the win away from home 2:0 against Burger Fuel Port Hill Utd Div 3. Hastings Hibernian Sports Club Pacifica's beat HNW Razos 4: 3. East Coast Tiling Western Rangers won 3:2 against Paddy’s Bar Napier City Rovers. Westshore Beach Inn Eskview Reds took a comfortable 4:0 win over Croplands Spray Shop Western Rangers Division Three. Napier South beat Marewa United 3:1.

The two leaders took home wins this weekend. HNW Alessandro’s winning 5:0 over Paddy’s Bar NCR. And the Flax Western Rangers won 6:2 against Marewa Masters. Port Hill took the win 5:1 against Westshore beach Inn Eskview. Taradale also took the win 5:1 this week beating HNW Mercenaries. Union Hotel Napier South took the win 4:2 over Shed 2 Napier Marist.

HB Womens Division 1 

Table leaders Westshore Beach Inn Eskview Blues took a comfortable win over Turfrey Taradale AFC. Western Rangers Womens won 1:0 away from home thanks to a goal from Ruby Brett. Taradale took the win 1:0 against Quality Pumping Limited Port Hil United thanks to a goal from Casey Ralph.

Table leaders faced off against each other this weekend. In what was a close game the Happy Days Child Care Taradale team won 5:4. Hastings Hibernian Paper Mulberry won 1:0 against Westshore Beach Inn Eskview Whites. HNW Loading Ramp took a comfortable win over NCR Women 6:0.
