Lotto Central Federation League

GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic have been crowned Lotto Central Federation League Champions for 2022 after they got past Napier City Rovers 3-2 on Saturday at Bluewater Stadium with Anthony Bell scoring twice for Athletic and Sho Goto the same for Rovers. Watson Integrity PN Marist FC continue to occupy second place after they defeated Isles Construction Massey University FC 2-1 at the Massey campus with the loss dropping Massey down to fourth. Turbine Residential Ltd North End AFC have moved up into third with a 3-0 away win over ALH Gisborne Thistle, Lucian Armstrong bagging a brace. In the final match two goals from Liam Percy-Fysh has helped Alexander Electric Napier Marist win 2-0 when hosted by Levin AFC at Donnelly Park. 

 

Women’s Federation League

Taradale AFC have also been crowned 2022 Champions in the Women’s Federation League after winning their final game of the season 5-0 against Team McGhie Football Whanganui with the goals being shared around. In the other match two late goals from NP Rangers AFC has given them a 2-0 home win over Isles Construction Massey University FC which has seen Rangers move equal on points with Massey in second but Rangers have a game in hand. PN Marist FC had the Bye for Round 14.

 

EASTER CUP

At Memorial Park Youm Marist Reserves welcomed Team Lewis Innovation Feilding Utd. Fielding took an early lead thanks too early goal’s from Tommi Hart and Youngjae Lee. Nicholas Hanly pulled one back for Marist in the 40th minute as the sides headed into the break with just the one goal separating them. A 54th minute goal from Hart restored Fielding's two goal buffer. Caleb Davidson netted in the 59th minute to reduce the deficit once more. Aaron Richardson made it 4-2 in the 61st minute before Hart completed his Hattrick in the 66th minute to round out the scoring. Feilding comfortable 5-2 winners on the day as they move into the Semi Finals in their quest for back-to-back Easter Cups.

 

Massey University Reserves took on GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic Reserves. In what was a tight first half the sides couldn’t be split and headed into the break all locked up at 0-0. Massey however came out of the blocks firing after the break and a clinical 22-minute spell that produced goals from Taran Bublitz, James Redpath, Tyrone Brown, and Adarsh Dutt made the score 4-0 to Massey and Athletic could not respond. Massey moving through to the Semi Finals.

At Timona Park Team Campbell - Harcourts Feilding Utd AFC Men's Reserves hosted PNBHS 2nd XI.

Riley Maclean got the students off to a great start with goals in the 6th and 18th minutes. Logan Julian pulled a goal back for Feilding in the 30th minute. Maclean completed his Hattrick in the 64th minute before Luke Harris rounded off a good match for the Boys High team as they took this match 4-1 as they continue to say catch us if you can to the teams behind them on the table.

 

At the Ashhurst Domain Linton FC Reserves took on Massey University Development. Chris Jones opened the scoring in the 8th minute to give Linton the lead. An unfortunate Own Goal by Linton in the 36th minute made it 1-1 before a Liam Wells goal in the 40th minute gave Massey a 2-1 lead heading into the break. After the break both sides tried as they might however the score did not change, and the match ended in a hard fought 2-1 win in favour of Massey.

 

At Donnelly Park Levin AFC Reserves welcomed Chillmax Takaro Titans. A 30TH minute Ramazan Ali strike giving Takaro a 1-0 lead at the break. David Benton and Darnel Hopkinson extended the lead out early in the second half as Takaro lead 3-0 at the 60-minute mark. Levin dug their heels in and really gave it to Takaro in the last half an hour and were rewarded with a late consolation goal through TJ Sannazzaro. Final Score 3-1 to Takaro.

This is a crucial match both sides need to win if they have any chance of chasing down Boys High.

This is sure to be a quality match that you won’t want to miss.

 

 

PNBHS 3rd XI took on Red Sox A’s at Ashhurst Domain in a battle of youth vs experience. Boys High got off to a good start and opened the scoring through Luke Radford in the 8th minute. The lead would however only last for 3 minutes as David Boyack equalised for the A’s in the 11th minute. Zachary Doyle then put the students back in front in the 17th minute before Ian Robinson Equalised once more for the A’s.  Boyack then put the A’s in front with his 2nd of the match in the 34th minute and the sides went to the break with the score 3-2 to the more experienced Red Sox side. The second half produced several chances, and it was the students who managed to capitalise in the 57th minute thanks to a Tom Hawinkels strike that brought the scores level again. That was the end of the scoring, and the sides couldn’t be split 3-3 the final score in an entertaining battle.

 

At Hokowhitu Park Alteration Specialists North End Veterans took on Smartphone Repairs PN Marist Inter. Inter taking a 1-0 lead into the half-time break thanks to a 42nd minute Chris Mumford goal. Fabian Villegas doubled their lead in the 51st minute before a clinical 10-minute spell from the Veterans produced a Hattrick from inform striker Scott Gillespie as well as a goal from Matt Borren and suddenly it was 4-2 North End. Inter did not give up and Max Plouviez pulled one back in the 76th minute producing a grandstand finish. A 90th minute Tim Seaholme goal completed the comeback for the Marist side and the match ended in an entertaining 4-4 Draw and once again these two sides could not be separated.

 

At Arena on the Turf Chillmax Takaro Rebels welcomed Levin AFC Sports. Takaro went into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead thanks to a 24th minute Josh Draper goal. Levin came out firing in the Second half land thanks to a Luke Spring Hattrick as well as a goal from Sean Finlayson they jumped out to a comfortable 4-1 lead. A late goal from Thai Human reduced the gap for Takaro however it wasn’t enough as Levin held on for aa well deserved 4-2 victory as they continue their surge up the table.

 

At the Domain Red Sox Wrinklies took on the Freedom Plus Marist Bulldogs. Marist opened the scoring in the 3rd minute thanks to Craig Porter. Joey Thomas responded quickly for the wrinklies and the scores were level again in the 8th minute. Bulldogs regained the lead in the 18th minute when Centre back Sam Roebuck surged forward for a set piece and calmy slotted home after a goal box scramble. TJ Matenga then added a further two goals before the break as the Bulldogs went into the break with a 4-1 lead. The Wrinklies came out firing in the second half and although the Bulldogs were able to weather the storm early on Andrew Roydhouse clinically headed home from a Free Kick in the 79th minute to give the Wrinklies hope. However, it wasn’t meant to be for the wrinklies and when Matenga completed his Hattrick in the 90th minute that was enough to secure a well-deserved 5-2 win for the Bulldogs.

Levin AFC Sports Host Alteration Specialists North End Veterans 4th V 5th. Both sides coming off great results last weekend and will be wanting to continue that form into this fixture

 

N&R Builders Marist Park Rangers took on Levin AFC Colts at the Ashhurst Domain. The Park Rangers came out firing and scored 5 first half goals through Yaakob Mohamed (2), Liam Outtrim, Patrick Norman, and Taine George. Although the second half was a close affair Taine George was able to grab his second of the day to make it 6-0 and that was how it ended. Park Rangers taking a comfortable win on the day.

 

At the University the Rosie O'Gradys Massey Rigs hosted Smartphone Repairs Marist Celts. Celts were comfortable winners in this match as they ran away with 8-1. Marist Scorers were Sude Sude (2), Toby Pita (2), Brandon Holdt (2), Harrison Bills, and Heath Butler. (Massey Scorer Unknown)

 

At Hokowhitu Park CAC Marist Greenies took on the Red Sox Saints. Ruben Porter gave the saints an early lead. Latham Lockwood scored just before halftime for the Greenies as the sides headed into the break all tied up. The match could of gone either way in the second half but it was the Greenies who managed to grab the winning goal in the 75th minute through Muhammad Asyraf Khairul-Noramin as they went on to secure a thrilling 2-1 win on the day.

 

At the Arena Turf it was the Red Sox Hustlers who got off to the best start against The Mad Butcher Takaro Fury. Shannon Mickleburgh opening the scoring in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, that was as good as it got for the Hustlers as they met a red-hot Fury side who were clinical scoring 9 unanswered goals on their way to a 9-1 victory. 6 goals to the in-form Ayrton Smith as well as goals for Diego Fragelli, Madison Buchanan, and Logan Wald.

CAC Marist Greenies and N&R Builders Marist Park Rangers battle it out in a club Derby.

This will be an exciting match that could go either way. Which team will get the bragging rights in this one?

 

 

At Ashhurst Domain Freedom Plus Marist Royals went to battle with Post Office Hotel Pahiatua FC. The sides went into the break all locked up at 0-0. It was Pahiatua who took their chances in the 2nd spell and thanks to goals from Mason Anderson and Caleb Henderson were able to secure a hard earned 2-0 victory.

 

In Dannevirke the Rangers welcomed the Manawatu Plunderers. It was the top of the table Dannevirke team who continued their winning ways here running out 10-3 winners on the day thanks to goals from Nicholas Sowerby (7), Sam Raffaelli, Yohan Borda, and Peter Sinclair. At Timona Park McDonalds Feilding Utd C Team were 4-1 Winners over Levin AFC Socials. Goal scorers for Feilding Gamied Fredericks (2), Jordan Newby, and Gary Jones.  (Levin Scorer Unknown)

 

At Hokowhitu Park Alteration Specialists North End Social took on Chillmax Takaro Glory. The match produced a 9-Goal thriller with North End coming out on top 6-3. North Ends goal Scorers were Fortune Shumba, Craig Tichbon, Jonathan Meads, Saheed Taiwo, Yann Mountou, and Orphee Mickalad. Whilst the scorers for Takaro were Joshua Barrington (2), and Blake Robinson.

            McDonalds Feilding Utd C Team v Alteration Specialists North End Social last time the sides met it was an exciting 2-1 win to Feilding. What will the outcome be second time round?

 

 

Massey University Legends welcomed Jennian Homes Feilding United to campus. Feilding scoring 3 unanswered goals either side of Halftime as they ran out 6-0 winners in this one. Mike Lewis and Correy Kotuhi grabbing 3 goals each along the way.

 

Red Sox Legends continued their good form as they raced out to a 5-0 Half Time lead against Marist Shamrock Rovers with goals from Sam Hill, Jason Baylis (2), Hadley Hita and Bryan Clements. The second half was a bit more of an even affair with Chris Osborne heading in a 6th for Legends before a late consolation goal for Shamrock Rovers. Final Score 6-1 Legends. At Donnelly Park the Levin AFC Vets welcomed McDonalds Marist Banshees. It was the visitors who came out on top Marist Banshees claiming a hard fought 3-1 win on the road.

At Hokowhitu Park the Red Sox Old Boys and the Resonant Marist Masters played out a 7-Goal thriller. Marist holding on to take the win 4-3 in an exciting match. Marist Scorers Richard Lawton (2), Andrew Parker, and Rori Moore. Whilst the Red Sox goals came through Carlos Vergara Estay, James Russell, and Simon Martin.

RSM Legends v Jennian Homes Feilding United Masters it is always close when these sides meet, and this match promises to be no different.

 

 

Rosco's Bulk Yard Feilding Utd AFC Women's 1st's hosted Chillmax Takaro AFC X-Force at Timona Park. Sarah Fairless gave Feilding the lead in the 36th minute as the home side took a 1-0 lead into the break. Takaro started the second half strong and were on level terms in the 48th minute when Monique Roberts slotted home in the 48th minute. Both sides then exchanged chances however it was Takaro who eventually took the lead in the 78th minute when Nicole Vunipola capitalised on a rear defensive error. Shenisia Gounden then put the game beyond any doubt in the 88th minute as Takaro made it 3-1 and picked up a hard-earned win away from home.

Massey University FC Women's Reserves v Chapple Architecture PN Marist Mayhem whenever these sides meet it is sure to be a thrilling game. Who will come out on top in this one?

 

TINGEY CUP

Chapple Architecture Marist Mayhem took on North End Baby Blues at Timona Park. The sides played out a 7-Goal thriller. First Half goals for The Baby Blues from Waimereni Hudson (2), and Zoe Adams were cancelled out by Marists Brooke Argyle (2), and Sarah Hughes as the sides were all locked up at 3-3 heading into the break. The second half was a close battle, and the match could have gone either way. It was Marist who snatched a late winner thanks to an 88th minute goal from Sarah Hughes as they claimed a thrilling 4-3 win on the day.

 

Massey University FC Women's Reserves welcomed Levin AFC Women's to the University. Megan George gave the students the edge with a 38th minute goal. Both sides exchanged opportunities and it wasn’t until the 79th minute when Joel Frank picked up the first of a quickfire brace to seal a 3-0 win as Massey progressed to the next round over a determined Levin Side.

 

TINGEY PLATE

LJ Contracting Takaro Avengers and North End Hawks went to battle. It was the Avengers who took this one 4-0 thanks to a clinical match in front of goal from Julie Briden as she managed to net all four of Takaro’s goals on the day.

 

Also, at Timona Park Takaro AFC Harlequins played Crew Cut Massey University FC Golden Girls. Sarah Cowan’s first half strike cancelled out by a Sydnie Uridge brace as the golden girls took a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.  Janna Hurley pulled Takaro level in the 80th minute before Cowan picked up her 2nd of the day in the 83rd minute to put Takaro in front. A determined Golden Girls did not give up and kept fighting until, the final whistle however they could not get the third goal they needed and Takaro held on for a thrilling 3-2 victory as they also progress to the semi finals of the cup.
