Knockout Cup Rules
Women’s Football Senior Cup 1. The Senior Cup is open to all Senior Club teams in the Wanganui Women’s League. This excludes school based teams.
2. All players must be registered with their respective Club.
3. The Cup will be played on 3 consecutive playing days over the July school holiday period.
4. The Cup will be played on a league basis and the winner will be determined on league position.
5. Games will be of two halves of 45mins.
6. Rolling subs will be permitted.
James Cup
1. The format for this Cup will be determined on the number of teams in the Women’s league.
2. The Regional Manager will determine the format for this Cup with consultation from the Wanganui Women’s Branch member before the start of the season. The format for this Cup will be that the games will be evenly spaced out during the season.
3. All teams in Wanganui Women’s league are eligible to enter this Cup and must be registered with their respective Club or school.
4. Clubs/schools will be advised of format for this Cup each season. 2012 Wanganui Charity Cup & Plate Competition - Players who have taken the field in the Charity Cup/Plate for a team may not play for another team in the same competition. Players are considered to be cup tied following their first appearance.
- Team cards need to be completed as per the Central Football 2012 Senior Playing regulations for ALL games. Team cards must be a true and accurate record of the team and game.
- Misconducts will be administered by Central Football as per the Central Football 2012 Senior Playing Regulations. The Disciplinary process set out by Central Football will be adhered to in the case of serious misconduct Charity Cup/Plate Format
- First round is a round robin format
- Top 6 finishing teams after the first round will form the Cup Competition
- Bottom 6 finishing teams after the first round will form the Plate Competition
- Wanganui Athletic and City 1st teams may (TBC with Clubs) join in the Semi-Final stage after their playoffs.
