Central Football is a sporting organisation that manages the “beautiful game” across 5 regions in the Central North Island. Our activities range from developing and managing football from “grass roots” through to this country’s highest level National competition, the ASB Premiership. 

Together with our National League partner Hawke’s Bay United Football we are looking for a high achieving individual with just the right mix of sales, events, marketing and communication skills.

Mainland Football is one of New Zealand’s largest Football Federations.  The national introduction of the award winning, Sport NZ endorsed Whole of Football (WOF) Plan ensures our Federation’s commitment to the growth and enjoyment of players and coaches in clubs and schools. 

The full time Football Development Officer (FDO) will play a vital role within Mainland Football, delivering club, school and coach specific WOF programmes. The workload of the FDO is varied and you will be working with a mix of different people and situations.  Each day you will be faced with the challenge of utilising your football development experience, planning and motivation skills to enthuse and encourage young players and coaches to maintain their involvement and increase their skill in the game, and to support clubs in their activity of the same. 

This is an outstanding opportunity for you to apply your experience and skills in a football specific environment.

· Suitable for children aged 7 to 11, boys and girls.

Each session includes skill-based training, so kids can learn the tricks and techniques to become better players. There is also plenty of chances to play football games to apply these skills in a fun, safe environment. ASB Fun Football is designed to appeal to both boys and girls, from total beginners to committed young players. Its part of the NZF junior development plan, so there is the opportunity for talented and hard working players to start the journey to excellence.
