Transfer form
Policy
All players competing in senior competitions who wish to tranfer to a different club must fill in the transfer request form. To download a copy of the form click the link Transfer form Once transfers have been completed they will be listed on our website under Club Info - Player transfers. Players cannot player until transfer has been completed and the club has been informed and/or it is listed on the website. Deadline for all transfers is 12pm on Fridays. There are four types of player transfer requests 1. Regional Transfers A player wishing to transfer from one local club to another club within their own region is required to have the Transfer Form signed in full before submitting the transfer to their local regional office. 2. Transfers between regions but within Central Football A player wishing to transfer from one club to another club in a different region within our federation. The new club must complete their portion of the transfer form and have it signed by the player and club. Submit the form to your regional office and they will complete the rest. 3. Transfers between Federations A player wishing to transfer from one club to another club in a different Federation. The new club must complete their portion of the transfer form and have it signed by the player and club. Submit the form to your regional office and they will complete the rest. Note that Transfers can take up to 7 days 4. International clearances a) A player transfering to a club located outside New Zealand must come via the overseas club’ s national association to New Zealand Soccer for clearance. b) A club wishing to transfer a player into the Federation from overseas is required to submit a transfer form to their regional office. It must be signed by players and new club official. The request will be forwarded through New Zealand Soccer to the overseas club via it’s respective national association. This can take up to 30 days. New Zealand Soccer Regulations contain the following restrictions on transfers, that clubs & players should be aware of: Regulation 5 – Player Status 6(f) No clearance for transfer shall be allowed for any player, coach, or player-coach by any club, irrespective of its status in National, Regional or Federation football, between 2nd July and 30th September in any season. 6(h) The only time when a clearance for transfer may be considered between these dates shall be when a player, coach, or player-coach can show that because of circumstances beyond his control, he is obliged to change his place of residence a distance greater than 50 kilometres.
Regulation 12 – Chatham Cup 5(d)ii All players competing in the competition must be registered members of their respective clubs as at 30 June in each year of the competition. Any players transferring to or registering with the club after 30 June are not eligible to participate in the competition.
