Central Football Board

Central Football is one of seven geographic Federations established by New Zealand Football to serivce the sport of football encompassing the regions of Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Gisborne. The Board comprises of four members appointed by a Selection Panel and three members elected by the game. Board positions are for a two year term. The Board is responsible for setting and implementing policy for all footballing matters and meets approximately six times a year. The board is well established with a strategic plan and a management infrastructure in place.

Johanna brings to the board a wealth of knowledge from her previous position as Principal of QEC in particular with financial, management process and HR issues. She has spent many years in assisting in the admnistration of the sport at Manawatu level and has a son and a daughter who both play. Johanna was co-opted on the board for a 2nd term at the 2008 AGM and now runs her own dairy farm with husband David. | | | |

| |  | | Mike Devonshire, Deputy Chair
Mike Devonshire was appointed to the board at our 2008 AGM. Mike resides in Hawke's Bay and has 3 kids all involved in Football. Mikes expertise in Financial & Strategic planning, Marketing & Sponsorship will be a real asset to the board as we seek ways to making our organisation more financially sustainable. Despite coming from Canterbury with strong Rugby ties he sees a good future for football and would like to assist to ensure administration of the sport becomes both more professional, marketable and financial. | | | |

| |  | | Rod Pelosi, Appointed Member Rod has been our chair since 2005 when he took on the role after being our president since 2001. His passion for the game and particulary the development of referees has assisted our Federation to form a united front. | | | |

| |  | | Les Marshall, Appointed Member
Les is in his third term on the board after retiring as chairman on the Taranaki Branch. Les has has many years administrating the game in Taranaki and brings to the board overall management skills and knowledge of the game. Les is a small business owner in Taranaki dealing in second hand books and art. | | | |

| |  | | John Jones, Appointed Member
John represents Gisborne on our board and has recently retired as a journalist. Being awarded the Queens Service medal in 2007 for journalism and contributions to football it indicates the great amount of time and energy John has put into the game. His love of refereeing still sees him coach our up and coming referees. John is in his third term on the board and was re-appointed in May 2009. | | | |
