Caution regarding the use of Social Media

It is encouraging to see the ever increasing engagement by many in the football family in the use of social media. Mediums the likes of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter provide wonderful opportunities for everyone to engage collectively and share views.

Whilst positively embracing the use of social media the unsavory side is when contributors use such mediums as a platform to personally attack or defame others. It is therefore timely to remind and caution social media users that expressing individual views on such things as referee decisions and/or making defamatory personal remarks against individuals will not be tolerated by Central Football. Such behaviour is a breach of NZ Football’s Code of Conduct and where considered necessary charges will be brought against offenders.

I thank you for your understanding.

Massey Football calling all existing and new players to training……

“Firstly, a Happy New Year from all at Massey Football, and congratulations on such an enjoyable season by all last year.
Massey Football is currently searching for passionate coaches and managers to assist with the development of our football club and, more importantly, players.

Women’s Central League
The main positions required to be filled are the Women’s First Team coach and manager. The Women’s First Team are joining the new Central Federation league this season and are excited to be competitive in this new arena, they have been very successful, with 3 Central League wins and a National Cup runners up medal, in the last 5 seasons. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for football and coaching to develop their skills at a high level, with talented, young footballers looking to improve and develop their skill levels. The manager’s role will be an extremely important role, and will take over the main running of the team, ensuring people are where they need to be, and transport is organised accordingly.

We are looking for someone committed and passionate, with the ability to take 2 Trainings a week and travel for game days on Sundays, when required, for away matches. We, at Massey Football, have a real passion and commitment towards the development and wellbeing of our club and players, and we want that reflected through our coaches, managers, and players.

If you are interested in this fantastic opportunity, please email masseysoccer@gmail.com

The successful candidates will be invited to a meeting with the committee and asked a few questions. We will be looking at your experience and coaching philosophy to ensure the wellbeing of our club and players.

Pre-season trainings and Trial dates
We are also inviting all players to come and trial for the Massey University Football Club, social or competitive. Our clubs day is on the first Wednesday of the University Semester, Wednesday 1st March 2016, where you can come and meet committee members and current players, and ask any questions you may have.

Trials will be held on the following weekend, Men’s on Saturday 4th March 11am-1pm, and Women’s on Sunday 5th March 11am-1pm, where you will meet the coaches and managers of the teams.

Pre-season training will commence for men and women (combined at this stage) on Thursday 9th February at 6.00pm and will then continue on every Sunday 11am-1pm and Wednesday 6-8pm until university begins start. Anyone is welcome, and people interested in trialling for the men’s and women’s first team are encouraged to come. Pre-season will consist of a mixture of drills, games and fitness drills.
